Shanghai, April 20 - Shanghai Shenhua have secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Wuhan Three Towns in a thrilling match at the Hongkou Football Stadium. The win marks their first home triumph of the season and lifts them out of the relegation zone.
The opening goal came early through a penalty kick converted by Kim Shin-wook in the 15th minute. Kim showed composure to slot past the keeper after a defender handled the ball inside the box.
Wuhan equalized just before halftime when Wang Sonhao scored with a powerful strike from outside the area that curved into the top corner.
